Recently, the combination of confidence and ignorance about Physics laws produced a phenomenon that became viral in Spain: the Paella Fall.
It all started with this picture:
You cannot imagine how many jokes, memes and the alike have been circulating on social media and newspapers during weeks. The undoubted plasticity of the image, along with the attitude of the different persons in it (the quiet old man, the scary woman, etc.) have deserved our attention for a while.
Almost simultaneously, we were aware of this (actually, the meal is not a paella, but the pan is exactly the same):
“Probably, the greatest engineering challenge that can be faced by a Valencian: you cook a good meal for lunch and you have not calculated how to bring it to the door later.”

Translation: “Probably, the greatest engineering challenge that can be faced by a Valencian: you cook a good meal for lunch and you have not calculated how to bring it to the door later. Pay attention to the silence after the fall.”
The author of the tweet was Eugeni Alemany, a popular TV comedian, who gained fame by promoting the paella as one of the new Unicode emojis in 2015. Here is a proof:
Recently, and following the Paella Fall thread, Alemany launched the so-called centrifuged paella challenge. The following videos are self-explanatory and demonstrate how Valencians + Physics = Fun.
